According to the FBI, eBay is up there at around 50% of all transactions having some form of fraud associated with them. Craigslist is at least taken a very proactive step in trying to handle the fraud on their site by requiring phone activated accounts in many categories and by warning you rate above somebody's listings what to look for a scam and how to avoid being taken in by scam.
