Ezinearticles, article submissions, content and what really works to drive quality traffic to your website!

Hmmm, it's a bad economy, right?  People are losing jobs and money left and right.  Unemployment numbers released today have the highest numbers now in 16 years!  That's right, 16 years - so that means this is the worst recession in at least 16 years!  And just when you thought it couldn't get any lower, the stock market dropped another 9 % including today and yesterday.  Are you hurting?  Most people are.  But some people are not - the top 1% of internet bloggers and websites are raking it in at numbers that would blow your mind.  Bankaholic a 2 year old blog just sold for $15 million!  Shoemoney earns over $100,000 per month and then how about Problogger.net , Ezinearticles and others?

Blogging and the internet are where the new age growth is.  Having a website and doing business over the internet can easily alter one's finances and put an end to the rat race.  Look at Chris Knight of Ezinearticles.com.  He literally has found a way of making others write hundreds of thousands of pages of content for his website and laughs all the way to the bank.  His website offers up to 2 worthless back links per each accepted article.  Supposedly they have increased scrutiny of articles and their authors to rule out worthless articles and spam.  But if you check the hundreds of thousands of articles in their database you will most likely find that 99.99% are the lowest quality articles out there.

What's funny is that once published these articles are laced full of numerous Google adsense ads.  This is the primary revenue source for Ezinearticles.com.  The supposed worth of the links to authors - almost zero.  That's right, regardless of the value of the article, 99.99% of the click throughs go to other pages on Ezinearticles or to their adsense ads.  That's because article authors get 2 hidden or buried links in the author box that no one really reads.  It used to be 3 years ago that you would get some decent traffic from article submissions.  Now Google, the largest search engine by far, has deemed that article submission sites and the links they give are basically worthless.

Cure acne fast!

So, these authors are working hard and writing all these articles in vain and the only one really profiting is Chris Knight.  He profits in 2 ways - Google adsense revenue and the value or worth of his website/ezine enterprise.  His links to his other websites and such count - the authors don't.  His website is worth around $50 million currently.  Now what does this mean for you and why am I talking down about websites like Ezinearticles.com?  It's simple - Content is king!  If you can get it and put it together then you could be the owner of the next million dollar website.

Why would anyone want to work so hard at generating all that content and then let someone else profit off of it?  Put it on your own website.  It's that simple.  Don't ever give away your hard earned content and thoughts.  Do what Chris Knight and the others are doing.  Go and compete with them.  That's where the real money is.  Here's a good case in point.  Chris Knight is worth millions.  His authors are earning pennies compared to his millions.  Here's the real secret to beating the economy, becoming self employed, getting ahead in life and making a difference - start a website business and add quality, useful content to it.  It's that simple.

Restore ugly headlights to new again!

You won't become rich overnight, but look at where you can go if you are determined and persevere.  Basically, nowhere else can you just go and for almost nothing start a business and earn great money.  You can host ads through a service like Google Adsense or you can sell your own products.  Keep in mind, in the early days you will be spending many hours adding content and tweaking your websites.  The rule is you need to add at least 4 to 10 great posts or articles per day to start.  There is a capitulation point and when you hit it you will know - that is the point where your online business just takes on a mind of its own and grows and pays your bills and more.

It certainly helps if you can find a way to get others to do your writing for you (like Ezinearticles.com does).  Then, as long as you check for duplicate content and spam (Google hates these) you will be quickly on your way.  Never give away your content.  If all you ever did was add fresh, quality content to your website you would be loaded down with traffic soon enough and start earning some really good money.  Be careful and abstain from duplicate or thin, useless content.  Here are some great blogging resources to start you on your way:

I think you hit the nail right on the head. Ezinearticles just posted a blog post on 30 articles in 30 days where they are trying to convince all their authors to write and submit 30 articles in 30 days - that would earn them a ton in additional ad revenue. I, myself, submitted over 200 articles and really didn't get much for my efforts. All I ever received was 1500 click throughs over 3 years and I sold 4 items. The rest of the clicks I am sure went to the Google ads they have plastered everywhere on there. Article submissions are a complete waste on there.

Article submissions went out years ago. They are basically useless as if you were to submit a article to more than 1 directory it will be removed from the directories due to duplicate content. Links from articles do not have much if any effect at all.

Most article directories are full of badly plagiarized and poorly written content, much of which is spam.

Yes, I agree. Article submission was the in thing years ago, but now it is seen as duplicate content and Google doesn't like that much at all.
